Jacque has lived in Columbia since moving here as an undergrad in the fall of 1994. She has worked as an occupational therapist (OT) in many settings for 26 years but has specialized in pediatrics with a particular interest in school-based OT.
Jacque is currently teaching other OT practitioners in a higher education environment, and carries a small early intervention caseload. Jacque has had a sustained interest in local, state and federal policy for 20+ years. Her experiences on several City Commissions led to her interest to serve on the City Council.
Jacque is passionate about making Columbia accessible for all persons. That accessibility includes being able to access housing that is reasonably attainable within a personal budget. Jacque is interested in strengthening and building connections with community leaders in order to effectively utilize all of the services, programs, and tools Columbia has to offer. Jacque is serving as the liaison to the Youth Advisory Council.
