The Brooks Homes Association, in compliance with regulations in new developments, uses cluster mailboxes located throughout our neighborhood. You can mail letters from the cluster mailbox. Your home address mail is delivered to the cluster mailbox. For packages that will fit into the locked package cubbies of the clusters, you'll find a key inside your letter box with a number on it to retrieve your package. In some cases, the USPS will deliver your package to your front porch if it is too large for the package cubbies.
Repair and maintenance of the mailbox clusters is the responsibility of the HOA.
If you receive mail or packages that do not belong to you, your first point of contact should be the US Post Office. Some neighbors have successfully used The Brooks Facebook group to report missing package box keys or to request help finding misdelivered packages. You may also contact the post office directly for assistance. Our mail is handled by the Tiger Post Office on LeMone Industrial Blvd.
For USPS issues, contact the Tiger Post Office at 573-441-1862 or visit 3212B LeMone Industrial Blvd., Columbia, MO 65201.

At our May 6, 2026 HOA annual meeting, some concerns were raised about the ADA compliance of the Mailbox clusters. The cluster mailboxes and their installation was approved by the USPS. Please note, however, the USPS allows an exception called "door delivery" for individuals who have a hardship or medical issue resulting in the inability to access a neighborhood cluster box.
To qualify, the person must live alone (or with others who are also physically unable to collect the mail) and provide formal medical documentation.
Requests need to be made to the USPS. For more information, visit this page on the USPS website.
