Welcome to all Homeowners in The Brooks Subdivision, Columbia, Missouri.
Working together as neighbors through our HOA allows us to present a strong, unified voice when engaging with vendors, the City, and in matters involving regulations or zoning. By establishing a single, centralized point of contact for all communications, we ensure our efforts remain organized, consistent, and aligned with our shared mission. This is the goal of our website: to serve as the central hub for information and communication, helping our community act collaboratively and effectively on behalf of all residents.
The Brooks has been the number one neighborhood for real estate sales in Columbia, Missouri, for several years. It's truly a spectacular neighborhood. It offers new construction, modern homes, and a tranquil, wooded setting in East Columbia, all while being just 10 minutes from downtown and the University of Missouri. It is highly attractive for its family-friendly atmosphere and easy access to highways (I-70 and Hwy 63).
As members of The Brooks Homeowners Association, our main goal is to build a thriving, welcoming community. Maintaining our neighborhood directly supports property values. Through respect and generosity, we address concerns and make improvements together, ensuring a positive environment for all.
Neighbors, who are our members, are encouraged to participate in meetings and committees. Everyone can use this website to join committees and help create a valued, supportive, and connected community.
This is not a static website; it is a constant work in progress to keep our neighbors updated on what's going in our neighborhood.
This website aims to help neighbors stay informed about neighborhood concerns and progress, and to ensure everyone’s voice is heard through participation in committees and meetings.
This website includes a section for announcements, contacting CAM or the BOD (Board of Directors), our community calendar, an FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) page, plus general information about the Pool, Clubhouse, and Cluster Mailboxes.
Committees are currently being formed to address neighborhood concerns and requests. The neighborhood calendar will list committee meetings and neighborhood events such as block parties, yard sales, cleanup days, and planting days. Each committee will have its own Committee Charter with goals and objectives. We will have standing committees and Ad Hoc committees.
At our May 6, 2026, HOA meeting, it was generally felt by all neighbors in attendance that communication among homeowners, the developer, and CAM could be improved. Many residents felt there were issues that needed additional discussion and planning. We will establish homeowner volunteer committees to further address specific ideas and neighborhood concerns.
This website, built on Google Workspace, will serve as our central communication platform among committees. Each committee will have a designated section containing key details. We will have a master calendar of meetings and events for The Brooks.
Committee meetings will be conducted via both live and those who can't make the live meeting can attend through Google Meet. Committee Charters are currently being developed by the Board of Directors for review and signature of the President. The appointed chair will coordinate meeting times and agendas, maintain meeting records, provide updates of committee meetings to be published here on the website, and report back to the HOA Board of Directors as indicated by the committee charter. The process for scheduling meetings and submitting records will be further outlined and shared with all committee members.
